Soon after, Ismail Meeritee, Shouq Qidwai etc produced beautiful poems in this regard. 20th century, indeed, is an era of modern poetry where Allama Iqbal put placed it on the high pedestal. Tilok Chand was far from literary centres but his artistic avenue and commitment made him an important poet of modern Nazam.
