Abstract

Dr. Sohail Ahmad Khan was a prominent and unique critic of Urdu literature as well as international literature. He had a vast knowledge of different literatures of the world. He wrote brilliant critical books and essays on international literature and enhanced the vision and knowledge of readers regarding Urdu literature and international literature. His critical work not only enhances the vision and knowledge of its readers but also creates a thought -provoking process in his readers’ minds. In his critical work, many famous French personalities have been discussed. These prominent French personalities belong to different fields of life, like poetry, prose, science, Philosophy, psychology, art, music, theater, sociology and politics. The theories, faiths, beliefs and points of view of these French personalities have a deep influence on Urdu literature and are also well recognized internationally.
